Eguide Partners sought

Eguide is seeking individuals or organisations interested in running their own travel eguide site under a licence arrangement or as an eguide agent .

The eguide licence partnership gives you full control of the site within our operating quality control systems and the full income. The eguide agent arrangement is based on commissions for sale of microsites, advertising and products. Payment is made for additional services.

Business model

The model consists of several parts.

Editorial
Quality editorial that meets the need of the traveller for the destination is the key. The editorial policy of eguide is to be comprehensive, unbiased, accurate and fully up to date. The style is informative and easy to read. The editorial is used as the content for the web site, and for the downloadable eguides.

The eguides distinguish the offering from other similar destination sites and provide the reason for the visitor to arrive at the web site. The eguides are produced using a range of technologies including MS Reader, PDF and Desk Top Author and readable on both PCs and handhelds. Eguides can be printed by the user who would use them at the destination.

Our aim is to provide for each destination the guide of choice and at this stage we are making all eguides free to encourage usage and site visitors. The mechanism does exist to sell eguides as paid for ebooks and will be considered at a later stage.

Technology
At the centre is the operation of a web site with a common name “eguide” which has the destination placed in front i.e. www.noosa eguide .com. The web site is designed around a given template and has the inclusion of a sophisticated database for listings. These listings can be self up dateable. Multiple web sites enable eguide to act globally but manage locally and drive traffic to each local site.

Revenue
Income is derived from the sale of listings (adverts) but with the added advantage that they can be updated by the advertiser at any time so long as they are connected to the web site. This creates what is in effect a small dynamic web site which is attractive to businesses not having their own web site. Those that do, use the listing to direct traffic to their web site. Basic non dynamic listings can also be sold.

Revenue is also obtained from affiliate programmes where a percentage of the booking is paid to the site operator. These depend on location and include hotels, insurance, car hire and are easy to set up.

Direct bookings are also possible and this may be done where a local travel agent is selected as a partner.

Options exist to sell added value products such as PDF files, on line brochures using our Desk Top Author software and off line products such as postcards and vouchers.

If the three revenue streams are managed correctly a revenue stream is generated on a recurring annual basis.
