Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Located a 30-minute drive north from Hobart, the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary offers its visitors a hands-on and interactive experience with Tasmania’s resident wildlife. You can hand-feed their 80+ free-roaming kangaroos, pat cute koalas and wombats, and see Tasmanian devils up close. Bonorong not only operates a wildlife rescue service with members of the local community, but also provides a refuge for orphaned and injured wildlife. If you want to see what the animals are up to after dark, embark on one of their private night tours, guided by their highly knowledgeable wildlife keepers.
