Booking & Payment

  • You can book directly on our website, by email, or by phone. For most products, there is no payment required at the time of booking.

  • No. For most services, payment is on the day. A few products require full prepayment, but this will be clearly stated.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off

  • We pick up from hotels, airports, the Spirit of Tasmania terminal, the Visitor Centre at Cradle Mountain, Lake St Clair, and most locations in Northern and Southern Tasmania.

  • Please be ready 5–10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up. Drivers may arrive slightly early.

Do I need a Parks Pass before boarding an eGuide transfer?

A Parks Pass is required for entering Tasmania’s national parks but is NOT required for transfers to the start of trails. Parks Passes can be purchased online if you are trekking in Walls of Jerusalem National Park or they can be purchased in-person at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre if you are hiking the Overland Track.

What if the weather is bad?

Severe weather can and does affect travel and trekking plans in Tasmania. If this is the case, we will work with you to adjust your transfer booking at no extra cost.

What are the shuttle bus rules?

All visitors must use the Cradle Mountain shuttle bus to travel beyond the Visitor Centre. Shuttle bus tickets are included with the Cradle Mountain Icon Parks Pass or Overland Track Pass. For everyone else (aged 18 years and over), a $15 fee applies and allows you to use the Cradle Mountain shuttle buses for 72 hours. Stops include the Interpretation Centre and Ranger Station, Snake Hill, Ronny Creek and Dove Lake.

What is the Hop West Tour?

Hop West is our flexible hop-on, hop-off style touring route through Tasmania’s North West and is a great way to explore the region without a car. It connects attractions, nature areas and major towns, including Devonport, Penguin, Ulverstone and Sheffield. Guests select their route and how long they want to stay at each destination, then we take care of the transport in between.

How does Hop West work?

Simply select your preferred route and how many nights you want to stay at each destination, then let us organise the transport to get you there. Mosts guests start and end their journey in Launceston, although other departure points are possible. Guests book their own accommodation, giving you the flexibility to customise a trip that suits your travel style.
