Day 1 – Hobart to Port Arthur
Depart Hobart and journey through the picturesque Coal River Valley, stopping at the historic village of Richmond to admire Australia’s oldest stone bridge. Continue south to the Tasman Peninsula, where dramatic coastal scenery awaits at natural wonders like Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.
In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site. Discover Tasmania’s convict past on a guided walking tour and enjoy a scenic harbor cruise around the eerie Isle of the Dead.

Day 2 – Port Arthur to Bicheno via Freycinet National Park
We farewell Port Arthur and head north along Tasmania’s stunning east coast. Pause at Raspins Beach for sweeping views of Maria Island, then continue through the historic town of Swansea. A short stop at the quirky convict-built Spiky Bridge and nearby Spiky Beach offers a chance to stretch our legs and breathe in the fresh coastal air.
We visit Kate’s Berry Farm, a local favourite for morning tea, before the Freycinet Peninsula comes into view. Skirting the Apslawn Forest Reserve, we arrive at Devil’s Corner Vineyard for a relaxed lunch and wine tasting, with panoramic views across The Hazards mountain range and Great Oyster Bay.
In the afternoon, explore Freycinet National Park, including a walk to the world-famous Wineglass Bay Lookout, offering unforgettable coastal vistas.
We end the day in the laid-back seaside town of Bicheno, checking into our beachfront accommodation. In the evening, witness a magical spectacle as little penguins waddle ashore at dusk — a true Tasmanian highlight.

Day 3 – Bicheno to Launceston via Bay of Fires
After breakfast, visit the dramatic Bicheno Blowhole and meet native wildlife, including Tasmanian Devils and wombats, at East Coast Natureworld.
We continue along the coastal road to the breathtaking Bay of Fires, known for its striking white beaches and crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a relaxed stroll at Binalong Bay, soaking up the region’s natural beauty.
Heading inland, we pass through lush Myrtle Rainforest and stop at Legerwood to admire the town’s poignant carved memorial trees. Upon arrival in Launceston, explore highlights such as the picturesque Cataract Gorge Reserve.

Day 4 – Launceston to Strahan via Cradle Mountain
This morning, travel west through the scenic Meander Valley, passing rolling farmland and quaint villages. Stop at Sheffield, the renowned "Town of Murals," where vibrant street art tells the stories of local life and history.
Continue into Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Walk the iconic Dove Lake Circuit, taking in the breathtaking alpine scenery beneath the towering peaks of Cradle Mountain.
In the afternoon, we descend through rugged mountain passes and mining heritage landscapes, arriving by evening at the peaceful harbour town of Strahan.

Day 5 – Strahan and Gordon River Cruise
Step aboard a morning Gordon River Cruise and glide through pristine rainforest mirrored in the glassy waters. Visit the haunting ruins of Sarah Island, once one of Australia's harshest convict settlements, and hear extraordinary stories of its inhabitants.
After returning to Strahan, enjoy free time to explore the village’s artisan shops, stroll along Ocean Beach, or walk to the nearby Hogarth Falls.
In the evening, experience The Ship That Never Was — Australia’s longest-running play. This lively, interactive theatre performance brings to life the daring true story of a convict escape from Sarah Island, offering laughter and local charm under the stars.

Day 6 – Strahan to Hobart
Depart Strahan and visit the dramatic Iron Blow Lookout at Mount Lyell for panoramic views of Queenstown’s wild landscape. Travel through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, stopping for a peaceful rainforest walk at Nelson Falls.
Continue to Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, with time to relax at Lake St Clair Lodge. Nearby, discover The Wall in the Wilderness — an extraordinary hand-carved tribute to Tasmania’s pioneers and heritage.
Continuing south, journey through the lush Derwent Valley, with a final nature stop at the spectacular Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park.
Arrive back in Hobart by early evening, completing your unforgettable Tasmanian adventure.
